Bolt Carrier Cleaning

What kind of tool works best after removing bolt for cleaning the bottom of the bolt carrier on AR15 and AR10 to remove the carbon.
Thanks in advance.
 
Best and most handy BCG cleaning tool I have ever used. They even have blemished ones that they sell for a nice price that function flawless and only have cosmetic blemishes.

This looks interesting. Anybody know how it works.

I've had reasonable luck just dropping the bolt in a bottle of hoppes and letting it soak while I clean everything else. Soaking the rear end of the BC in the bottle makes it a lot easier to clean as well.
 
Another vote for soaking in Hoppes #9..overnight then wipe out with cotton swab..might have to repeat a couple times.
I stand the carrier on end and just put a few drops in, and same with the bolt.
I have used a plastic pick down inside the carrier before fto remove some very stubborn residue; don`t have that problem so bad after switching to Benchmark Powder.RRMV
 
Send your bolt to Black Ice Coatings and have it tefloned. All you need to clean is a rag and a q-tip. Nothing sticks to teflon so you just wipe it off. Try it, you'll like it...

Hoppes works very well. I keep an old plastic screw top pill bottle about 1/2 full and drop the bolt in overnight. As Hooked said, a few drops in the carrier does the job there, as well.

I have an Otis $300 AR cleaning kit that has every tool made under the sun. Also great to carry spare parts in. I spray my bolt group with CLP before I shoot it. Cuts down on cleaning. When, I get home it goes in my ultrasonic cleaner.
 
Before i head home from the range after shooting i put a few drops of clp in the holes on the side of the bcg and the carbon is soft by the time i get home and wipes out.
