Wasn't sure where to put this. I'm not affiliated with this company one bit. Found out about him on another site. He offers the best price I've come across. Offers a 1 day turnaround. I'm sure that'll change with all the business we can send him as a group! I just sent him my 7 mag bolt to flute, thread and install a small badger knob. That shipped back to me was 86.00. Prices on jhis site.

I love fluted bolts, God help me. I have a couple PTG aftermarket bolts on Savages and Rem's, my wife really wants one on her new Ruger, but I don't think it'll look as good with the extractor in the way. :-(

I like the fluted bolt bodies from ptg but they are like 60 bucks. These are 41
I was thinking about it on my m77 tang rifle too...

I've seen some bolts from members on the other forum. I'm really having high hopes. I talked to the owner for about an hour today and seems like a pretty down to earth guy. I can't wait. I'll be having everything fluted lol

Have you ever seen a pic of a fluted ruger? I'm not sure how I think it'd look with the extractor hiding so much of it. Can't seem to find good pics of one online.
 
If you get yours done, please be sure to post pics (or at least send 'em to me!!!). I'm rebuilding two project Ruger's right now, have been itching about having them fluted, but really want to see what the end result will look like first.

Wondering - will you have him flute just the shank behind the extractor collar, or the full length so the fluting is interrupted? I'll assume just behind the collar?

That's the one I was going with originally. But he talked me into the other. Since it matches my barrel.

I'm still waiting on the ruger. He said the shelf on the back of the bolt is causing problems. I asked to just do 180* straight flutes and he said no problem. When I seen the tikka I thought it was ruger and got overly excited lol
 

I was going to have him flute the bolt on my Rem LVSF and my Rem Mountain Rifle. I have several Rugers but I will wait on those. My little Hawkeye .358 would be one sexy beast all fluted out though........
