I used to wear polypro liners and finally figured out they were actually causing blisters on me. I just wear regular cotton crew socks under my wool socks now and my feet are fine.

I wear Predator Pacs from Cabelas's. I can tell you what I would never spend my hard earned money on again - Rocky's. Marked waterproof, would not turn dew, company would not make right. These were new!

There is no boots out there IMO better than muck boots. I swear by them. I have always had a problem with my feet getting cold. I could stand outside in 2 feet of snow all day and not get cold. I wear the much "wetlands" they have great traction, and very light weight.

I am looking into the artic mucks, but a warm as my feet stay now I dont think I will need them.

Maybe your feet don't sweat, but for many people their feet sweat or if there is a leak in a boot or water over the top the cotton soaks up sweat and moisture and traps that against the toes & feet. That hinders the insulation value of the wool socks and insulated boots. There are all sorts of quality liner socks that will move that moisture away from the toes and feet. Dry is a huge factor to maintaining warm feet and toes.

I have a pair of Magnum Spider's that I wear most of the time because they're super lightweight and comfortable. They're about as comfortable as and light most tenny-shoes. Only two things they're not good for is water and extreme cold.
I also have a pair of Wolverine Harper's that I bought at BPS for $29.99 in store. I think they were $99.99 regular price. They're uninsulated, but have kept me warm sitting in a tree stand for several hours in 20 degree weather. After I put some good insoles in them, they were pretty dang comfortable.

Good Insulation and Gortex I think are important. I have Danners and boots from Cabelas, both very good, but you can't beat Danners, but the cost of them is a bit high.

Coming from a guy who hunts coyotes several days a week in the "Greatest Snow on Earth" lol, my opinion, the best cold weather boots on the market, are the "Whites (Elk Guide) boots"! They're $200 and worth every freakin penny.... these bad boys are the real deal!

+1 on Schnees boots of all kinds. Got my first pair this year...by far the finest boots I have ever owned. I highly recommend them to anybody.

One more vote for the pronghorns. I have 2 pairs and really like them alot. Good boots, I have hiked and hunted may miles on them with no blisters or foot problems.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I settled on a pair of Irish Setters Gunflints from Cabela's Bargan Cave. 600g Thinsulate and a 4-pack of wool socks.....$102 total.

I tried to find them in the cave today, but they're not there. What I did find are some new boots, with more insulation, at a cheaper price.

I second that! I work outside and snowmobile 7 months a year. Whites are the way to go.

I wear Arctic muck boots with a good sock liner and a good sock for calling and ice fishing and my feet are always warm... Thats something my Lacrosse and my Sorel packs cant do!

Take a look a cabelas Iron ridge boots I have had 2 pair and for the money they are hard to beat.I think they are on sale right now.

I've been wearing Mucks* for the last two hunting seasons. Really like them. I do lots of setting on stand, as well as lots of walking. The neoprene and felt lining is great, and they are rated from like -40 to 85 degrees. As well they are much better at staying water proof than any other boot I've worn.

I'll second the Cabelas outfitter series. I've got a pair of the uninsulated and a pair of the 2,000 grams. They worked really well for me so far.

As others have said, I'd also highly recommend good liner socks.

My feet sweat something horrible, even in uninsulated boots. A little trick I started doing a few years ago. I spray on Arrid XXX antiperspirant (unscented), on my bare feet. Let them sit for about 5 minutes then put liner sock on, then my wool socks, and my boots. Don't have a problem with my feet sweating then getting cold anymore.

I also wear muck boot and if I need the support I use rockys. For stand hunting and wet areas though I don't think you can get any more comfort than the mucks.
