Bore cleaning solvent?

I use Butches Bore Shine in my centerfires and a 50/50 mix of Kroil and Shooters Choice in my rimfires.

I used that same stuff as BobT down to the T, Kroil is good stuff. I also like Boretech on my bench guns, used to use JB to remove copper and I was told KG12 from www.eabco.com is latest and great on removing copper but have not used it yet.

Montana X-Treme appears to be a good one time clean all type. I have used Shooters Choice and Sweets forever. They are a two step process. Choice for most jobs and Sweets for harder ones.
Xtreme can do both in one use. I highly recommend nylon brushes for all the strong copper cleaners. You will see blue coming off your bronze brushes making you think copper is still in the barrel.

+1 on the nylon brushes. I'm pretty anal when it comes to cleaning(when I finally do get around to it) but I am embarrassed to say it took a while for the light bulb to "come on" while using the bronze brushes and I kept getting blue on the patches.

Have used Sweet's, Hoppes Bench Rest, Shooter's Choice, Hoppes 9 for highpower rifles and Gold Medallion, Kroil/JB Paste for smallbore.

Tried Wipeout foam and all the others are gathering dust on the workbench (haven't tried Wipeout on .22RF yet). No brushes, no scrubbing, just fill the bore w/Wipeout and let sit overnight, two dry patches and follow w/patch soaked in Kroil before storage. They claim it is not necessary to oil the bore, but I do, just in case. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Thanks for all the replies. I use Hoppes #9. I'm just looking to see if there is something that will work better. I've be told that the Hoppe's doesn't work to good for cleaning out copper. Thanks again!
