Boss Dogg by Primos remote question

I currently have an Alpha Dog. It's been pretty good to me. My next upgrade though I'd like it to have the remote where you don't need "line of sight" for it to work.

This is the one thing that constantly gets in the way of my calling. I call in lots of very tall sage brush and crests of hills etc and if there isn't clear line of sight, I can't get reception. This constantly alters my game plan and position. My understanding is the upper end Fox Pro's do not require line of site but I can't find anything about the Primos Boss Dogg. Any help? Thanks.

I've got both a foxpro shockwave and a Primos Boss Dogg caller. I'm fairly new to all this so I went with the Foxpro because of all the recommendations even though I'm from MS and Primos was a MS company. But I took delivery of my shockwave and was pleased with it but something kept telling me I should've got the BossDogg anyway I couldn't resist and bought one to test out. I had a cheaper game innovations call 1st and foremost that I bought a year or so ago before I really got into hunting predators and honestly it sucked. The remote was its biggest downfall and i now use it for target practice :). Anyway I the BossDogg came in and it is a very nice Caller. it is pretty heavy and somewhat big but overall build quality looks good. It comes with a detachable wireless moving decoy that can be stuck in the ground with its own ground rod or attached to a bush or limb with its integrated rubber strap. A lot of the weight from the call comes in also from the call requiring 10 D-Cell batteries to operate it. Anyway the call seems loud but doesn't seem to have the clarity of the foxpro shockwave from what I've seen. Now onto the remotes.......I like the remote included with the BossDogg and it's a huge improvement over the cheaper game innovations call I originally had but I LOVE the remote included with the shockwave. The shockwaves remote keys are lighted and the BossDoggs are not. Range seems to be better on the foxpro remote as well. Maybe I should do a side by side distance test and report back.........as for now I really think the foxpro call is the better of the two calls. Honestly after getting the BossDogg I think it made me really see the beauty in the shockwave and appreciate it more. Also I must say that this is probably completely coincidental but just starting predator hunting a few months ago and only going out maybe a handful of times I haven't brought in a coyote with the BossDogg yet. I've killed 2 so far and have brought them in with the shockwave.

I'll try to do a remote test this afternoon or tomorrow for ya and report back as I know that's your main question

I don't think line of sight is nearly as important as having your ecaller elevated. It increases your effective range a lot and improves your sound. When the ecaller is on the ground, the ground absorbs a lot of the sound. The Shockwave uses FHSS technology which is the big difference in the operating range and reliability.

Kilts: I'll assume you are directing your question to everyone. We have tested all the ecaller models that use FHSS technology out to 200 yards with no negative issues. We had the ecaller elevated in all cases about 2 feet. I actually tested the first Fury with the TX500 remote out to 300 yards in a wide variety of setups, and it worked flawlessly in each setup. Most of the time, we set up no further than 75 yards or so, again with no negative issues.
