boyds thumbhole stocks

+1

Can't understand what price has to do with anything here.

I would not give you 10 cents for a thumbhole stock, but that is merely a personal preference.

From my experience, Boyd's are simply inletted horribly. They are heavier than both wood and synthetic. Not as nice looking as nice wood, and not as stable/durable as a good kevlar/fiberglass stock. The extra weight gains you nothing over a synthetic. That is my idiotic opinion.......

I have had many of Boyds stocks that are the laminate, finished-drop in, all excellent products that I perfer over McMillen fiberglass.

One thing that is very confusing to many people is the various levels of stock inletting that is done by Boyds.

When you get one of their "Drop In" stocks, they are perfect. When you get a Semi Inlet, you have to work on the fit.

I will continue to buy Boyd's stocks as long as they are in business, they produce an excellent product, and that is an understatement.

I personally like the laminate stocks that are a total drop in...you could run over them with your truck.
