Ok, here is a fast sample of what I do. Here are some brass that will be cleaned.
Primer pockets on uncleaned brass.
I use CLR undiluted. This is a small sample. I stir the brass often for agitation. This is where a sonic machine would be handy.
Here they are after soaking for 5 minutes in CLR and then a good rinse with running water.
Primer pockets don't come completely clean and shiny nor does the inside of the case, but some carbon is removed.
You can soak for longer and it will clean more. I have soaked them for as much as an hour but I don't think it is necessary. 15 to 20 minutes is what I usually do. Let them air dry over night.
I have also used the IOSSO and it works well also.I just find that CLR is on hand for other cleaning chores around the the house and more convenient.
