This is true. It's hard to read people by what they post. Heck, it's hard enough to read people in person. I have been told that I come across as condescending and abrasive. I certainly don't mean to. I would like to think think that plumbrich came to Brent's defense in response to me jacking the thread. I hope so, I hate strife. I don't think CCP was defending Brent at all, just expressing his opinion on who'd be best to learn somethin from. I don't know JAmaidens, just because someone is a moderator doesn't make them a knowledgable coyote caller. No offense meant to JA here at all, I don't know him and don't know his background other than what he revieled here.

I read alot here before I joined and this is like the 3rd arguement in 2 weeks.

To everybody on this thread I would like to say I'm sorry .
It was my comment on the other seminar that sparked this, it was not my intention to take anything away from Mr. Sexton. My goal was just to shed light on the other seminar in hopes that it raised questions about it because JAMaidens is doing the seminar to help me raise funds so I can go to India on a missonary trip with my church. Again I am sorry

If you have soemthing you want to promote, contact me, JAMaidens, or one of the other mods and we'll get it posted for all to see.
 
Brent... Being a moderator there or here puts you in light that makes you even more responsible for what you say..

Insinuating that one person is better at calling than another one was called for??

What did it accomplish?

What was the real reason that CCP took the time to insinuate such things?

Brent there are right ways to do things and you and I both know that wasn't the right way to give an opinion..

The way CCP did it was not the right way


Brent, I would suggest turning that post around and make it say that Jeff was the better caller and that you were only repeating what you had heard on the internet and then reply......James L.

Brent- I think that you are certainly welcome to post here, even though you moderate somewhere else. The same cannot be said about the other board. Most of the moderators here, were banned from the other board from the get go, even though they had never even registered there. Why was that?

How was your account mishandled? You never had a paying account here.
 
Folks, don't confuse opinions with assumptions. You can voice an opinion if you have some practical knowledge about a person, subject or object. If you've never met, let alone hunted with a person, how could you voice an opinion about him? It is only an assumption at best and should carry no weight. Those that have hunted with JAMaidens can develop an opinion. Those that have not are waisting their breath.

As a member of both boards I'm not sure how to take this. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif Is this a jab at the fnf members? Are all fnf members guilty of "cheesy gossip"?

Most of the time I can see two sides in every post. I can see how a post can be read in different ways. But the above is nothing more than a slap in the face. What's up with that?

Hold up fella's. Before this blows up, as a Moderator of this forum I would like for ALL the involved parties to take a step back and draw a deep breath before reaching for the keyboard. Honestly, if we express ourselves with maturity, cleanly, fair minded, respectfully, and on topic - there really shouldn't be a problem. That would be appreciated and what I'm hoping for. I see little good coming of this thread if we don't adhere to those simple guidelines. I cant see anything good coming from this any more. So, with no disrespect to "anyone", Moderators, Members or others. Im not going to post any more in this thread. All I ask is that no one takes this the wrong way, I just cant see any good coming from this thread.

I will try to get this back on topic

I know Brent have talked to him face to face and he has answered many of my questions.He seems to know enough about hunting and calling that anyone young and old could learn something from him.

His video is called Hunting in the East part 1
Back to the Basics and thats excatly what it is about.
I have watched a few bang flop videos,but this is the only hunting video that my wife sat down and watched with me and she said she enjoyed it.
 
I wish we could all just "get along". This is the second time I have posted about a nearby seminar on these forums and gotten unexpected results. I guess since I'm new to these boards I just don't know where all the mine fields are. I have learned a lot about hunting coyotes in a very short time due to these two boards as well as a few others. I have also made some new friends and hunting partners. I just want to learn how to be a more successful coyote hunter. Guess I won't worry too much about the unexpected posts and comments. The majority of posters on these boards seem great and very helpful. Hopefully I will meet some of you at Brent's seminar this Saturday. I also hope to meet others at the JAMaiden's seminar in April.
Did three stands this morning with my new Scorpion. Saw lots of crows, hawks and buzzards, but no coyotes. Maybe I will learn something at one of these seminars or from some of you guys on the forums that will help me improve.

A wise old Indian once said, "Use'em head before use'em mouth." Substitute "keyboard" for "mouth" and it still works!

If you are calling crows, hawks, and buzzards you are doing something VERY right! Like I said in my first post, I would go to as many seminars, read as many books, and watch every dvd I could on predators. Brent's seminar should be a great learning tool for anyone in that area of country. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
 
Just to let everyone know, I just got the call that the seminar has been canceled do to the major snow storm and roads being closed.
