brightest flashlight that uses AA batteries.

ncfiretiger,

The NightForce lights have red filters that can let you shoot at a little longest distance that others red filters lights.

Of course the best option is to have somebody holding a two million candlepower spotlight with a red filter.

Flashlights with red filters under the rifle can never produce the range than the specialty varmints lights do, the bigger the reflector the longest the throw.

Black Bear,

You sure-fire have done your homework on lights. Good job.

I am really interested in your "cyber-lights". Especially the cloning of a 3D Maglight into a rechargeble "torch"!

Three 44s,
Thank you for your appreciation, At the request of the Administration I have to curtail mentioning my lights in this Forum until I get a sponsorship.

I have been interested in lights for a long time. play a lot with red filters and even geenration 0 infrared gogles and filters and generation 1 binoculars.

I think that I am a "night" guy.
It is amazing what you can find in Google when searching for lights by name.
Spotlights, Varmint lights, Mega lights, it is all there.

Best regards

Don't rule out lights from Streamlight. They are the same size or smaller than the Surefire, and have longer range beams. They also cost less!!

I did a search, but couldn't find a place to get the Pelican lite saddle. Where can you get, and how much does it cost? Do they make on for a 870? I have been looking for a way to mount a maglight or something similar to an 870 without much trouble.

Yellowhammer,
It seems that Pelican is not making any more the Lite-Saddle, I still have two that I will sell with my lights.

But, the Lite-Saddle will not work in pumps shotguns.

Really for mounting a Maglite to a pump I don't have a solution.
Many recommend Surefires lights to put under the forearm of a rifle or pump shotgun, but a real thrower is the TACM III light they also come with trmote pressure pad switch.
The beam will reach 78 yards (I tested it) which is much more than the Surefires 2 and three batteries will reach.
The difference is on the bigger diameter smooth reflector.

I have several mounted on medium range long guns with a Weaver base and ring. They also works good in my pump Mossber 500.

For more range the Surefires that are 1 inch in diameter and can be mounted the same way are the turboheads like the Surefire M-4, they will reach 150 yards with the 350 lumens lamp.

I've been looking for something like that lite saddle. I wonder why they quit making it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

Looks like a good product.
