Browning BAR Safari 243 WITH BOSS.......HELP!!!!!

I'm in a big dilemma right now. I have the prestige opportunity to buy a 2000 BAR 243 with the BOSS system; however I already have a 2013 BAR 243 on layaway. Should I get my money back to buy the gun with the boss system?

1)The BOSS is LOUD. Did I say LOUD? Did you hear me? I said LOUD. It is so loud it might make your neighbors at the range move over a couple of spaces.
1a)If you can find a BOSS CR the noise and recoil will return to a normal level. And, you can still "tune" your gun to your load.
2)Does the Boss work? Yes it does.
3)Many folks find it ugly.
I am not crazy about how it looks but, I do like the way it works. Thus, I can live with it. I bought mine 'cause it was such a deal at the time.
Most BARs are pretty accurate out of the box. So a BOSS is probably not necessary on a BAR.
Which is the better "deal"?
Which do you like better?

It has the BOSS CR on it. I love both of them. The used 2000 BAR with the BOSS is $900, the one I have on layaway, which doesn't have the BOSS,is $1100.I don't know a lot about the boss, just that it improves accuracy by a noticeable margin. also the one with the boss is out of state, I would have to have it shipped to me . Therefore I'm having the guy send me a lot of pictures of the gun. So should I step out on chance and buy the one with the boss system?

If it's a $200 difference I'd probably get the one without the BOSS, especially in a 243. If it is the 'CR' BOSS, it's supposed to be quiet, the same as a regular barrel.

Is the BOSS system so great to buy a used BAR over a new BAR that is unequipped with the BOSS system?

in addition:
the used one comes with a scope base, scope rings and a scope.

I would look for rust both internal and external and definately check the bore and throat with a borescope or at least a good bore light. I purchased a used BAR in .243 once that looked good on the outside but had a lot of significant damage / wear to the rifling about 1/2" in from the muzzle. Needless to say accuracy was not real good and I will check the bore of any used rifle from now on before I purchase. Expensive lesson learned.

I ended up getting a sweet deal.
2000 browning Bar 243 with boss
two magazines
Plano airglide case
Barska 4-12 scope(in addition of rings/base)
Boss cr

All that for less than $1000

BOSS is great for tuning your gun to shoot factory ammo, but if you load your own you tune your ammo to your gun. They have a pretty good tutorial on the website and yes it does actually work. Given the amount of people who don't reload I'm surprised BOSS isn't more popular.
