Has anyone used/owned a BSA sweet .223 scope? Are they pretty good scopes? Thinking about getting one to put on a AR style rifle.

Havent had that particular model, but have had many BSA scopes. Mind you I said had. I was very happy with their stuff till my crosshairs on my coyote gun went crooked. Still was on, but in the scope itself they twisted to about the 2 oclock position. BSA's customer service sucks. I wouldnt recomend BSA scopes to Iraqi Insurgents let alone a fellow hunter.

Spend a few more dollars and buy something a bit more reputable. You will find most people refer to the bsa as the Barely See Anything.

I liked the idea of the sweet .223 that they had. I had seen the sweet 17 in action and thought it was great. But that being said i had a bsa contender and wasnt very happy with the clarity of it for the money and the sweet .223 is a new model. I generally let other people get the bugs out before i buy one. Instead i bought a mueller 4.5-14x40 for less money than the sweet .223 and i got alot higher quality scope. The muellers i feel have the best scopes for your lower end dollar. I will keep an eye on the sweet .223 and see what happens with it. I still like the idea of what they are trying to do there. But im not the type of person that has to be the first one on the block to have one.
