Yes, mine have Portland stamped into the blade. The factory is at the intersection of I-5 and Hwy. 217. (Well, it used to be, maybe it's in China now, next to the Danner boot HQ). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif
 
Heres my 2 cents. I carry a Spyderco Rescue for protection, I dont cut anything with it and its still factory sharp. I also carry a S&W Homeland Security for everyday cutting and I use it everyday. I resharpen it when needed and when I wear it out I go to Big 5 and buy another 10 dollar second on sale and start over. As a kid a buck 110 was the knife to have, if it broke, send it in and get another.
