Buck Knives?

I still have and use the original Buck 110 folding hunter that I bought in 1979. I broke a 1/4" off the point that first fall trying to split open a black bear pelvis while dressing it, what can I say, I was a stupid kid then. Anyway, I wrote to Buck and they had me send the knife. Received it back a short while later, with a new blade installed and all polished up nice. No charge, not even return shipping. I was sold, I have 3 folding hunters now.

i just got one of those gerber freeman folders that cabelas has the exclusive on, the one with the cocobolo handle set...its that s30v steel and i don't know much about knives, but that thing is sharper than sharp... my first knife was a Buck, lost it a while back and would kill to find it again.

I've got a Buck Alaskan Guide knife I bought from a special run made for Cabelas with S30v steel that is my favorite Buck of all time but I have SEVERAL more too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

If I ever manage to dull it I'll let you know how it sharpens. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here's a hint on sharpening Buck Knives. Use the Lansky Diamond Stone system and you can make them literally razor sharp in fairly short order, and the edge will last and last.

Buck has been my all time favorite through the years but I have a few Gerbers, Kershaws, and Cases too. They're all good but I'll always prefer the Bucks.
