Budget Friendly Over/Under?

I found a franchi alcione on closeout 4 years ago for 700...its my favorite shotgun now... I have never had a citori, I am sure I would like one of those too.

Good call!
Like GC said, "fit is everything where shotguns are concerned" so shoot as many as you can first.

I've owned more than a few O/U's and settled on this B Rizzini 16ga in my 'senior years" LOL.

I used to shoot on a trap league years ago and this is the only gun I ever shot a perfect score with (100) so that should explain that.
PS,,, She's a Pheasant killing machine when I can get my old GSP out of bed.

In your price range I'd agree with looking at CZ or Franchi for a new gun and Citori/Red Label for used. Just depends on which one YOU shoot best.
Nothing like a NICE shotgun though, so don't get discouraged and good luck.

Thanks
I saved for ALLOT of years and sold a couple of dear-to-me O/U's before I could afford her.
Here's a better pic showing the beautifull wood and case colored reciever.

A used Model 500 or 600 SKB (imported originally by Ithaca) in Mod/I.C. may fit your bill if you can find one. Usually run in the $650 -$800 range. I own 2 and have shot them for years. One has thin-walled chokes installed. I agree that you should get to some shops or, better yet, a gun show and handle several to see how they fit you.

Unfortunately, unlike rifles, there are not a lot of budget O/Us that are worth the time and trouble. Add in things like triggers and balance and you'll know why it is worth your time to save up some $$$ and look at one of the options GC mentioned. I think you'll be better off in the end for it.
