buffer spring real stiff

Ok guys my buffer spring is real stiff. I have been noticing when I pull back on the charging handle it fells real stiff. So much that its making it where my bolt catches every now and then. Its only happened twice now but last night it almost cost my coyote. I have tried to lube it down and kept racking it to loosen it up after cleaning. Do you guys have any suggestions. I thought about locking the bolt back and leaving it like that for a while to loosen it. Its a RRA Coyote Carbine. I got the rifle last August. It could be because its still real new and really hasnt had that much ammo through it. Heck I dont even think I have fired 100 rounds thruogh it. If you guys have any advice I would appreciate it.

I'd rather it be real stiff than anything else. Otherwise, you could have bolt return issues.

Does it cycle OK? If so, then it should be fine. You can also try the JP Buffer Springs. They function really well, and are really quiet while operating.

yea i havent had any cycle problems. It does make a heck of a screech when you rack it though. I just have never had one that seemed this hard to rack back. If I dont rack on it hard enough the bolt gets cought. I get your point of being stiff is better then real loose but this thing seems like it wouldnt hurt to be a little more loose

Cycling a sping is what weakens them not static pressure. You can leave mags loaded for years and not have springs weaken. Does the bolt get caught when its rearward??
