Buffer tube

I'm starting my first AR build. I have a Deleware machine stripped lower, RR trigger kit. My question is what buffer tube do I need mil-spec or commercial?

I don't think it matters. The diameter is smaller on the Mil-spec and the Comm has a slanted back. As long as the stock you purchase is of the same kind as the buffer tube you'll be fine.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge and experience will be along shortly.

Given a choice between mil-spec and commercial spec in regards to the AR always choose mil-spec.

The mil-spec buffer tube will allow a great variety of options when choosing stocks. The only reason the commercial spec buffer tube exists is to cut down costs for a few manufacturers who were looking to cut corners.

I like the MOE on my rifle, it doesnt have the friction lock like the CTR but I really like it. That being said, I would like to upgrade to the CTR so that the stock doesnt rattle any more but even bigger so that I can attach a QD sling swivel. The MOE doesnt have that.

I have a CTR on my carbine and love it.

They offer them in both commercial and mil-spec, so be careful you match the buffer tube with the stock.
