Anyone ever try changing bullets in a factory load??
I reload for my Mini 30 and tried Red Army fmj and hp loads by changing the bullet to a Sierra 125 game king. For that factory load(powder and primer) the three shot group i tried went from a 2" average down to a three shot just under 1"!! Two rounds were touching

P O A changed as it should but accuracy was impressive. Got to try some more.. Any one else tried this??
You may ask why and its because I wanted to

And yes I resized neck down to 308 and crimped the new rounds.

I've made some Mexican Match 7.62X39. Nothing to write home about in my results so far. I still have a few more to try but not worth the effort for me.

Lots of people back in the day (mostly after WWII) began "reloading" by improving their factory cartridges, which improved accuracy and/or terminal performance.
It is all in the pursuit of knowledge through experimentation. Good for you for satisfying your curiosity.
