Bullet HP review

I posted this in the hunting section but wanted to do a quick review of what happened for those wanting to know about the Bullet HP. I will tell you the story of how it was shot, then a quick review on the call.

BULLET PROOF!

Had a couple of AWESOME days calling. 2 days calling and we called in 7 and killed 5. The Layke Tactical "Predator Militia" gun was up to the task. But, I need to admit a stupid mistake.......I shot my Convergent Bullet HP. We were on stand and about two minutes into the calling action when this little female yote jumped the sage brush and bit the call. Literally grabbed it in her mouth and started to run. I wasn't going to let her get away with the call. I center punched her and hit the call at the same time. 6.5 Grendel made a mess of them both.

But, here is the kicker: The call still worked. I destroyed the decoy motor, but the speaker still worked and we went on to use it on the next couple of sets and called in two and killed one. This is one tough call. And without a doubt the EASIEST control app ever made. I love this call......and I'm not big on electronics. First time in my life I can honestly say I would be comfortable leaving my hand held calls in the truck!!!

I haven't been a fan of electronic calls in the past. Main reason was the remotes not being real user friedly and sound quality that was so so at best. When I ordered the Bullet HP I was a little skeptical, but went into it with an open mind.

The first thing I did while waiting for the call to arrive was download the app and see how it functioned and ......well flowed from a control standpoint. Wow, the controls are laid out perfectly, presets are easy to load and change, volume is easy to control (and preset for the sound before playing it, and it even has an icon that allows you to shoot video with your smart phone AND control the call. Brilliant IMHO.

Sound quality was excellent and volume was plenty. I didn't have one single "glitch" with any of the sounds I used and the decoy runs and looks great. I like that I can turn the decoy off and on with absolute simplicity.

Seriously, two thumbs up to Byron and crew for making a great call. I will be using it more and more this year. Working on a video review and will post the link when I am done.

If you have questions, feel free to ask. I will be on the computer for the rest of the week, lol.

Thanks Yoda!!!

He makes a great point about the free app. You can download the Predator Pro app for free. It includes all the functions and 6 sounds. The other sounds are in two packages (22 sounds per package) for 3.99 per package. In other words you can get all 50 sounds for 8 bucks.

Aside fro that we also have two other apps "Deer Pro" and "Hog Pro" . These are both 3.99 each and come with 15 sounds each.

All but three of the 15 sounds on the "Deer Pro" app are done by Larry Weishuhn (Mr. Whitetail) and are fantastic!!! However, please be aware that not all states allow using electronics for calling deer.

The sounds on the "Hog Pro" are also exceptional. The quality of the Bullet HP's audio is really highlighted while playing these sounds. The low guttural grunts and high pitched squeals on these recording sound amazing.

More to come soon,

Byron
