bullet puller

I've got the RCBS, there too you have to buy the collets that are extra. I like the way the grip and pull works, I think i'll get me one of those. I do also have the kinetic hammer type I use on my pistol bullets when I only have a few.
but that grip and pull looks real interesting.

Let me know what you think. It seems like a good one, I've just not seen too much first hand feedback.

Just got an email that it's shipped already, sounds good so far. pahntr760 I will have to give my report when I put it to use. What I did also for feedback I brought up grip n pull and it brought up quite a few conversations about it from other forums, all were positive except some over on cast boolits had some negative talk which ya can understand if using cast and not wanting marks on them.

Keep us up to speed on how this works out. Seems like there is quite a bit of interest in this, but not a lot of real world time with one. Curious to see if any rings show up on the bullets or not. I set up my hammer last night with an ear plug stuffed in and while it worked just fine, I do have a ways to go and its not the most fun of activities hammering all night...

I just got the grip n pull delivered. I had a few 270 rounds to pull and it works great, the first left a light scratch cause I wasn't squeezing it together hard enough. The others I had to look hard to see any marks. The faint mark if there is one was less than my rcbs collet leaves. I pulled a few 22cal 55gr hornady sp and the 22cal slot appears a little small as it would't allow the bullet to go in down to the mouth of the case,if ya pull apart to open the jaws it works good but I will call them on it. The 24 cal slot pulled the 22cal bullets with ease and left only the faintest marks which I think is self inflicted cause I don't know exactly how much pressure to put on them yet. It is a fast way of pulling them though. The bullets pulled were reloads with no crimp, don't think I own a factory round so don't know yet on how that'll be.

edit: Just got off the phone with them and they told me that they are made to a tight tolerance and that after useing for a short time they relax to where they will fit smoothly around the bullet and ya won't need to pull the handles open to fit properly. I asked him him what they are made of and he told me high strength ss. I see nothing bad with me ordering this tool as it's quick and handy, being no set up.

I bought the Hornady after 10 years of the Kinetic hammer, never will go back to that, The puller is the way to go, easy to set up and easy to operate and no sufficient damage to the bullet.

I use a old set of electrician wire strippers with a 3 size crimper. Run the shell of into your press, grab on it with the crimper, and lower the ram. Works well, without damaging the bullets, although it does leave a couple of marks.

It's nice to hear the positive results with the grip n pull. Cool to see the little known guys come up with ideas that work just as well if not better than what the big names come up with...
