Thinking of getting a 25-06 Tikka T3 and was wondering what bullets you guys are shooting. It will be used to kill coyotes, deer, paper, steel and what ever varmints that get in the way. Also what powder are you using to push the bullets. I just seen someone else started the same topic. Should have read down the screen farther.

I use Speer 100 gr. SP for everything. I've taken 5 Wyoming antelope, a mule deer, white tail deer, corsican ram, groundhogs and crows with that one bullet. It's a good one in my rifle.

The 25-06 is a fine cartridge.

Good luck on your choice.

the 25-06 is one of my favorites. i used Nosler BT in mine...for deer i use 115 gr and for the small stuff the 85s. RL19 was a very good powder in the one i had

IMR 4831 for all bullet weights. I shoot 87 Hornady SP's for varmints and coyotes. I've loaded Hornady 100 SP's, Nosler Partition 100's and 115's, and Hornady's 117 BTSP. My rifle seems to shoot all bullet weights well. Some have said that their 25-06 prefer lighter bullets and others say the 100-115 grain bullets shoot best. Seems the Nosler 100 grain Ballistic Tip is the most popular all-around bullet. With a little experimentation with powder charges and bullet seating depth, I've had good success with different weight bullets.

90 gr Sierra HP boat tails is my do-everything bullet in my .25-06. It maybe a little light as a serious big game bullet and a little heavy for long range varmits, but it is a perfect little 'tweener bullet that my A-Bolt loves.

When I bought my Vanguard 25-06 two years ago, I decided that it would be a heavy bullet gun. So, I shoot 115 to 120 gn bullets only. The two bullets I LOVE best are the Speer and Sierra 120's.. And, they shoot 3 shots into 1/2" groups at 100 yards. I used a Weaver V-16 set at 16x for load testing. The BC's of those two 120's is AWESOME.
I have 250 Savage and 257 Robets rifles for the lighter weight 25 caliber bullets.
Rl-22, 7828 nand H-4831SC are THE best powders for my particular rifle, with the heavy bullets. All three deliver the same accuracy I mentioned.
