Originally we were allowing for 1 degree of cant. I initially had quite a few complaints about canting issues. Of those that contacted us I had them all send them in for a replacement so that we could examine the badly canted rets. I had over 100 scopes returned to us and I examined each and every one of them myself. I found a total of 3 scopes that indeed had excessive cant.
We then narrowed our tolerances to 1/2 of a degree of cant. Since then we've had very few complaints. The biggest issue I think people were facing was that it's very difficult to judge and determine the amount of cant on a scope like that. You need a perfectly level and sturdy mounting surface as well as a perfectly level target in order to really see how much cant is there.
If anyone has a canted ret then please call in and we'll get you squared away.
