I recently swapped out my rr 18" bull barrel to a lighter dpms 16" flat top sportical. I've been thinking of putting one of these on and was wondering if any of you have any experience with one?

Thanks

Optically, they're not very good. I like the concept, though. They are just 'O.K.', on a calling rifle. The little dots are hard to pick up, at least to my eyebulbs. The illumination is good. I finally removed mine and put it on a 15-22.

The dots are hard to pick up when you don't have them lit up. They are on when using factory ammo (at least with Black Hills that I tried), but like mentioned it is difficult to pick them up. I switched mine out to my S&W AR22, it is a blast to shoot with that optic on it.

Mine squared up fine without any canting at all. I could see with the built in base that there could be canting issues if there was a manufacture defect or if the rail they are mounting it to isn't square to begin with.

Originally we were allowing for 1 degree of cant. I initially had quite a few complaints about canting issues. Of those that contacted us I had them all send them in for a replacement so that we could examine the badly canted rets. I had over 100 scopes returned to us and I examined each and every one of them myself. I found a total of 3 scopes that indeed had excessive cant.

We then narrowed our tolerances to 1/2 of a degree of cant. Since then we've had very few complaints. The biggest issue I think people were facing was that it's very difficult to judge and determine the amount of cant on a scope like that. You need a perfectly level and sturdy mounting surface as well as a perfectly level target in order to really see how much cant is there.

If anyone has a canted ret then please call in and we'll get you squared away.

Thats pretty good to get an answer from the horses mouth, on the very question you asked. So have you decided to give it a try?
