Does anybody know why Burris dosen't make the short mag scope any more? Were they having problems? Any info would help before I buy a used one.
Thanks,Dan

The Short Mag is basically the same as the Timberline which we still make. The scope you are thinking of buying is a US made scope. When we moved the manufacturing of the compact scopes overseas we changed to name to eliminate any confusion. Other than that there are very few differences between the two. It's a good scope with a good warranty. As long as the tube isn't bent I wouldn't hesitate buying it if the price is right. The Short Mag was much more expensive as well.

I have a Timberline it is a good clear scope. When I moved it to far left and then back right it did not move until I banged the scope. Sorry Burris.

I called them, I was told the grease get dried out. It holds zero okay. It works for what I want. Burris is not afraid to tell the truth. I like that about them. You get what you pay for. Burris is AAA in my book.
