Ridgeviewer: Actually I was not mad (and I never break things I love /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif ).......I just thought you were totally off the beam. I have learned over the years that if the Internet affects you personally, you seriously need to go find a LIFE. But, I gave it some thought and felt that IF it really DID offend you, I should remove it and I did. I never outwardly try to offend people (well not usually /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif ). Somewhere in the middle of it I caught on to the joke and I have to say I laughed out loud. It was actually hilarious. That was when I knew you all had a great sense of humor.
My brother in MT is a hunter and thinks EXACTLY like you guys. I would love for him to come here, but he just is not into the Internet all that much. We have some really *interesting* coversations and I learn a *lot* from them and most of the time enjoy them. He actually respects my opinions at times ... if he thinks I am wrong he says so and I listen to his rational. My name is LINDA...not JANE and I do NOT think like Jane Fonda OR that KYCOYOTEGUY. Those are the type of people who make me look twice at a Democratic candidate. EDIT
Not that they represent a Democratic candidate, but I DO see more wackos spouting their views in support of the Democrats and find it alarming.)END OF EDIT I suppose you might call me moderate with more of a twist in your direction. I just have a really hard time with the poor in this country as I know that we *need* people to work in the lower income brackets to make this country of ours work. It is not easy for them. I HATE the welfare system as it used to be. I do not see it like I used to ... but I do know it WAS changing when CLinton was in office. (ok Congress did it..whoever...I just hated the system). I also hate the fact that Social Security has been ruined MORE by false claims in the past than anything. Oh, the baby boomers will probably put a horrid strain on it..but I think it might have been more viable had there not been so many abuses. But...that is history.
Anyway....that is where I stand. I suppose I sound VERY liberal to you...I do to my brother as well. I think he thinks I NEVER listen to him. But...he like everyone else will never know for whom I vote. Sometimes I think he was raised in a different family because as I recall you did not talk about such things. *shrug*
And as for CHOCOLATE....WHOOOO send me some anytime you please@!!!#@!#@!#~! hahahhahah

Oh GOD, you guys are making me feel all ICKY inside. Believe me, I feel, and pray, for the poor, unemployed, the uneducated, the homeless, and any other suffering human beings. I take a strong stance for George Bush for many reasons, but I'll list only a few. Since we are discussing human suffering, (a very worthy topic in any rational, thinking persons, opinion) I'll start there. I have seen GW personally embrace victims of 9/11 without predujudice, of race, religion, or political affiliation. I've seen him cry with those hurting. I've seen him pray with the scared, and sorrowed. Not once did it appear to be a phony photo opp. I've seen him promise to right the wrong, waged against this Country, and I see him following through, at any cost to himself. In George Bush, I see a man who risk his life, and that of his family, daily protecting America. I know that no man is perfect, and no one man can fix all the wrongs with our Country, but I'll stand behind a man of integrity every time. I honestly can't think of any President, of my lifetime, that loves, and honors America, like George Bush. I've seen plenty of john kerry's love, and respect for this country, and it makes me want to puke. When I look at john kerry, Integrity is certainly not on his list of attributes.
I also was raised where a vote was kept personal and quiet. However, times change. I now have 3 boys, and a large part of their future rides on this election. I have 2 choices, George Bush who has shown himself to me as a good man, or john kerry, who has proven himself a leach for 30 some years. I'll ask George Bush, with my vote, to keep my family's future safe. I'll also ask anyone who will listen, to do the same. I'll add one last point. No matter the issue of concern, a man of conviction, and integrity, is best chance we Americans have of improving the situation.

Ridgeviewer: excellent points! I do agree that George Bush comes across as a caring man. I also feel his wife is as well. She has always appeared to me to be a very genuine caring lady with a lot of class. That to me is a very strong point. I never felt that way about his father at all...perhaps his mother had more of an influence. Or..maybe Dad just came across differently. But Dad is not running for President. I see more folks are starting to take up the banners in their signature lines. That is GREAT! I think it makes a real statement to folks that don't follow the issues closely but visit the site to read about the sports they love... I'm amazed how many sportsmen all across the internet are confused about which canidate best supports their lifestyle.
