I have been comparing these two scopes in 3-9X40 and cant decide wich one to go with /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif. I was wondering if any of you guys had any input.
It will be going on my savage .243 that I use for deer and night hunt coyote's.

Thanks

I dunno its really kind of a tossup, in actual use I think I like the 3200 just a little better, the adjustment ring is more user friendly, the glass may be ever so slightly better with the buckmaster, however to make your decision easier why not just pick up a 3x9 4200, it has better glass than the buckmaster and has the user friendlyness of the 3200, the last 3x9 4200 I bought from the optic zone for $239 its my favorite 3x9 scope, and sits on my go to coyote rifle.

I have both and they are very comparable, it really comes down on which one you feel more comfortable looking through. for me I think nikon is better.

I'd go 3200 between those two.

I have them both as well. But I don't think that the Nikon is in the same league as the 3200 as far as clarity.

I have one Buckmaster but I have two 4200 Bushnells and two 3200 Bushnells. I think the Bushnells are the best scope out there for the money.

Nikon Buckmaster. I just looked thru both these scopes 2 weeks ago comparing them. The nikon was brighter and clearer than the 3200. I thought the nikon was better enough to throw down an extra $30.00. The nikon is what my AR is wearing now.

I have both and if it came to push and shove Id take the 3200 for the raincaoting. best anti fog scope I have seen for any money. however I do like the bdc retical of the nikon although I havent been any where to try it out past 100 yrds.\

That's pretty good advice right there.

Even better if ya can afford it is the 2.5-10 Elite4200.
I also like the rainguard and heavy duplex reticle on the Bushnells for hunting.

I had a 3-9 Buckmaster, but not for long.. Had a 3-9 Monarch too that was nice, but the 4200 is better IMO.

I know money's tight every where, but if ya can save a little more and get either the Monarch or 4200 I think you'll be better off.

I personally like the Nikon Buckmaster better than the Elite 3200. I think the Buckmaster is optically better. Now if you can increase your price some, I would go with the Elite 4200 3-9x40.

To answer the question @ hand..

Between the two..& I've owned a few of each..I'd take the Buckmaster the "eye" relief is better in my opinion..

I have two 3200 Firefly 3-9X 40MM scopes. one on a do it all custom .308. The other on a Kimber .22LR. The scopes have heavy cross hairs for dim light, the Firefly feature works great, and the thin center section cross hairs are very fine for precision shooting. With the .308 sighted in for 200 yds the top if the heavy section is right on at 325 yds. With the .22 sighted in at 50 yards it hits half way between the x and the top of the heavy part at 100 yards at 9 power. the adjustments are real positive. Can't beat it for the money. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the warranty on the Nikon is life time and the Bushnell is 1 year. I guess if all things were close to being even, I'd personally go for the lifetime warranty.

Thanks for all the input guy's I decided to go with the bushnell 3200 and I don't think I'll be disapointed.and if I am someone will be able to buy a scope cheap. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
