bushnell banner scope,, good or cheap?

I bought this same scope used at a gun show last fall and installed it on my HB 24" SS Stag AR15 in 5.56. It didn't have a mark on it. It has far exceeded my hopes for it. SO FAR, it has held zero, is repeatable and clear. It's labeled as wide angle. It must be as it doesn't appear as if you are looking through a 12" cardboard tube. I'm very satisfied with it.

I have 3 of them and have used them for shooting prairie dogs on a 22-250, .233(AR-15), and .221 Fireball. They have worked perfect for purpose I have used them, which is daylight bench rest shooting. I think they are an excellent value, but I am no scope expert. I have used them to dispatch many prairie dogs and shot some of my best groups on paper ever, so I am confident in their ability to hold zero.

They are a rather large scope - not exactly what I would want on a walk-around gun - and usually require high rings, especially if the objective end is hanging over a bull barrel that does not reduce in contour.

I have two of them and they are good scopes they are a little big. I have one on my 22-250 and one on a 243 good light gathering and clear for a scope of that price range.
 
I have had one in 3x9 x40 on a hard recoiling 12 ga slug gun for the past 5 years and put over 100 rds thru it and never changed zero or any other problems . It has surprised me for the price . They are work horses for the price and carry the Bushnell warranty . I even slipped and fell on the ice last year and the gun and scope took a hard hit and to my surprise still held zero .
 
I had a 6-24x40 on my .22-250 when I first started hunting groundhogs and it went bad after a couple months. My shots would shift left and right drastically, but vertically the didn't move. Went to a Nikon Buckmaster and that scope was very clear and tracked good, but sold it to my cousin and went with a Leupold.
 
Why not spend a little more and get an elite 3200. lot of places online are having a big sale on them. i have the 5-15x and midway has it for 250 usually 350.
 
Check out the Redfields made by Leupold before you buy. The 3x9 is selling for $149 around here and the 4x12 $209. The 4x12 is the same size as most 3x9. The have very good glass and come with Leupolds life time warranty.
 
Yeah I would pass on one of these I've see them when you turn the power up the scope gets darker like its tinted.Not good if you want a clear scope.To cheap.Like said about but a redfield they are clear and seem to be build better.As for tracking I dont know anyone that has had one long enough but with a good warranty cant good wrong.
 
I have a bushnell banner mounted on a 223(4x12...was mounted in a 30-06 for several years)...good scope holds up well and has worked well for me, even night shooting.

Just picked up the same scope from natchez closeout for 246.00 after shipping.Very clear & bright..long eye relief and has raingaurd.
