Bushnell Elite 4200 ??

Hi Guy's. I'm looking for someone that has an Elite 4200 3x9x40. Cabela's has a great sale on this scope & I want to buy it along with a set of Butler Creek covers. I'm looking for the cover size. They do not give you enough info to pick he right size. So if anyone has this scope could you please let me know what cover size(s) you have or give me the measurements so I can order the right ones. I want to try an order everything at once.

Thanks
Mike

That is a great scope, the glass is excellent (Japan), Raingaurd coating is a plus for hunters, and the $179.00 with free shipping is a steal!!!!!

They were 149.00 for a week or so at cabelas and that is about the best deal I have seen on scopes. Thery are top quality for sure.

I seen the 3200 for $149.00 but didn't see the 4200 for that price.

If you find it for that price again, please let me know because I haven't seen anything that would touch it for the price.

I have it sitting on my Remmy 700 in .308 and haul it in my tool box and haven't lost zero yet.

Thanks,

I guess it was that price only a few days.I actually saw it somewhere online and called my brother in Colorado because I knew he was in need of a scopeand he got one at that price but then they went back up.

I bought 2 of them at $199 from Cabelas, and I thought they would have sold out at that price. Saw the other day that they had dropped the price to $179 - DOH! Oh well, at least when I bought them I got free shipping. Glass is better than my Leupold var-x III's.

Fantastic buy!

For future reference, Cheaper Than Dirt has an look-up chart for the Butler Creek scope covers. It lists pretty much any scope you can imagine, and tells you which covers you need.

You guys might know better than me but I heard Bushnell was phasing out the 3200 and 4200 elite line of scopes. Is this why we are seeing great prices? I've got a 6-24 4200 scope that I love but would like to get a 2.5-16 6500 for my calling rifle.

I got mine at the $149.99 price and had a coupon for $25 off, plus I used $13 worth of Cabelas Club points for a total of $112 and did the in store free shipping.
Best scope deal I ever made.

Anyone know if they put different turrets knobs on the elite line. I know they're different on the 6500 but wondered about the Elite series formally 4200/3200.

It appears that they have eliminated the 4200/3200 nomenclature and now it is just the Elite series and the Elite 6500.
Also seems they have changed the turrets somewhat as they are now resettable.

I talked with a Bushnell Rep at Deer Expo in Birmingham, Al this summer. According to him the 3200/4200 series are known now as Elite, they now have the glass of previous version Elite 6500 and the New Elite 6500 glass has been upgraded.

I just picked up last night a Bushnell Elite 4-16x40 with DOA. It doesn't say 3200 or 4200, just Elite. Does that mean I got an "older" version of the 6500? That's pretty cool if I did.
