Bushnell Elite 4200 ??

According to a Bushnell Rep that would be correct. The Bushnell web site mentions "new technology" used in the Elite series. It would make sense that the older Elite 6500 coatings shift to lower price scopes as Bushnell improves their higher end optics. IMHO In sports optics marketing the advances in lens coatings that increase light transmission at the wave lengths of light associated with dawn and dusk is one the main selling points. Sales is a leap frog game you always have to make improvements to maintain or increase market share.

I bought two of the 3x9 4200s when my wife still worked at Cabelas. With the employee discount, the scopes were not as cheap as what some of you are paying. Those are great prices. I bought a 4-12 with BDC a while back from the the Bargain Bin at Cabelas and got it real cheap because they indeed were closing them out. It is a great scope, but I am not too crazy about BDC anyway.
