bushnell elite ?

im considering an elite scope wondering if the price difference between the 3200 & 4200 was worth it? is there that much of a difference between the two ?
 
I have 6 Elites including one 4200 and five 3200's . The difference is the 4200 are they supposed to have better light transmission, but to tell you the truth i can't tell a dimes worth between them. The 3200 has a wider ranger of Elevation and Windage than the 4200. I believe you will be happy with either. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
 
I own both 4200 and 3200 elites. They're both good but to me the clarity and resolution is better with the 4200 elites.
 
I have the Bushnell Elite 3200 and it is an awesome scope. Very very clear. Get the 3200 and put the other on good rings and bases. That is what I would do. Oh wait a minute, that is what I did /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have the 3x9x40 3200 firefly. My buddy has a 2.5x10x40 4200 firefly. The other day we were sighting mine in and I could see the .20 cal. holes at 100 yards with mine. I grabbed his to take a peek thinking with 1 more power of magnification and being of $200 more quality the holes would just jump right out at me. I saw no difference and niether did he. My friend made the comment that he felt like he wasted $200. There could be a difference when less light is available and we plan to check that out in the future.
 
I have a few of each, and first off, I think they are some of the best scopes for the money. I also do not see a big difference between them. also have some of the older ones when they were called B&L series, they are also good scopes. I for one will continue to buy 3200 and 4200 unless they change them for the worse. can't go wrong with either one.

Between me and my buddy we have 6 of them. I have 3 3200's and he has 2 3200's and one 4200. All are great scopes and will continue to use them.
 
I have a couple of 4-12X 3200's and a couple of 4-16X 4200's. In my eyes the 4200 scopes have better resolution and clarity and in low light conditions gather light better.

They're both very good scopes but I prefer the 4200 Elites.
 

I have a 2-7x 3200, and a 6-24x 4200. Both are impressive.
For small targets, I would lean towards the 4200 Elites,
especially if low light shooting was a possibility. If
circumstances were such that I was short on funds, and
needs were immediate, I would not have one reservation
about buying a 3200. Oh, and if one ever hunts these scopes,
in wet weather, prepare to be impressed...Rainguard ROCKS!

thanks to all replies i now know it will be the elite series just will have to go check both of them out.i just find it hard to judge in the stores with all of their lighting it can make a scope decieving as far as clarity.thanks again.
 
In my opinion, the Elite 4200 is the best buy out there if you want quality at a reasonable price. Rainguard is a super feature also. My 4 x 16 x 50 has more light pickup power than any scope I have ever owned or looked through.
