Bushnell optics

Just looking for opinions here, my Bell scope has finally died, im now looking at a new bushnell. There are a few that I have looked at. Has anyone had a 4-12X50 "Legend" or a 3-9X40 "Banner" they are to go onto my Stevens 22-250. Thanks guys.

I had a 4 by 12 Banner for a while and found the power ring really hard to turn, Optics were ok for a low cost scope. You might take a look at the Pine Ridge series of scopes Cabela's sells. I've put a bunch of them on friends rifles and they are clear and sharp and the power ring turns easily on the 20 or so I've installed.

They start at 70 bucks and they certainly have a great warrentee. I had one still in the box that was two years old and when I opened it the cross hairs were twisted at a 45 degree angle. This was a from a bunch I'd bought for Christmas presents in the Bargain cave for 20 bucks apiece so I figured I'd just get my 20 bucks back.

When I called to ask about a refund they just said send it back. I told them I had bought it on sale and they said send it anyway. Two weeks later I got a brand new one with a note saying thanks for doing business with them.

They have a pretty good lineup of powers, I've used the 2 by 7's and 2.5 by 7's mostly.

I think you're gonna find that those that like the Bushnell scopes only recommend the Elite 3200 or 4200 series with high confidence. That being said I just compared the 3200's to leupold vx III's yesterday at Cabelas and couldn't tell a difference at all. I'm new to scopes so take what I say lightly.

I have 2 Banners and would buy another one. I just wish they still made the 3x9x50 Banner. That is a great scope for the money.

I have 4 Banners Dusk to Dawns. All of them are the 4x12x40 and they perform great. All of them are clear and maintain zero. The only issue I have with them is what was mention here eariler.... the maginification ring can be really tight.

For $99 it is hard to beat.

I am mostly a leupy and alaskan guide man, but I do have one 5x15x40 mil dot bushnell legend. I love this scope and will definitely have another. Glass is bright and clear and have had no problems with the scope holding zero. In my opinion it is a great buy for $200.

Ditto the post above. Though I no longer own it, I had the exact same scope ($159, IIRC) atop a .223 Rem I used for almost constant pdog shooting. I used it for two seasons, firing ~14,000 rounds under it, and it was a fine piece of glass for the money. I adjust the scope for the shot, and I was twisting the elevation dial at least 100 times per shoot. It was simply amazing the way the scope held up to the hard usage and never, ever failed to track perfectly.

There are better scopes out there, but IMO, none are a better value for the money.
