business cards for coyote hunters??

Obviously you don't need cards if you're hunting your own property.

I printed some off this past season and gave some to a farmer. I need to print some more off with my new number. I'm gonna have to think about putting one up on the local gas station board. Not a bad idea.

I think a lot more of us would use cards if someone that has some graphics skills or computer savvy would just set up a basic card with a logo containing a vicious looking coyote that we (the unwashed) hunters could just add our own personal information to and print. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

Such as a Microsoft word file or something like that. Also many of us that have Microsoft Office could use Microsoft Publisher. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

This would be a great service to the predator hunter that knows more about guns, calls, and hunting, than making his own cards. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

How 'bout it computer geeks? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif

Well, I was gonna whip one up real quick. But I have the old version of Word at home. I've got my file at work. I'll post it tomorrow night.
If you want to try to do it, and you have a more recent version of Word (I'm using 97), then do File...New...then find the business card templates. You'll have to have the right card stock from Avery or an Avery clone.

i once asked for acess on a spot i use to hunt as a kid before it was a farm. the two ladies that own the farm said no. not willing to give up i then asked if i could just take pictures of coyotes and again (no). i put out a buisness card after seeing varment als web page about a year later. guess who was my firt caller. those same two ladies i went out to their farm three times that year and killed 17 dogs. also they gave me 500$ that i was quick to refuse but they snuck it in my truck well i could use a new gun annyway. they have since sold the farm but i am still welcome there after they told the new owner about their experiance.

I got some cards made up by a lady on www.trapperman.com, her handle is MsCat. She will work with you to get exactly what you want. Her Prices are very good and she has access to quite a bit of graphics that will fit the bill.

I think the card shows that you're more than just some slob hunter looking to shoot up the place. I gives an impression of professionalism and responsibility. As I said earlier, I think farmers/ranchers are more apt to grant permission if they first know who I am and where I live.

I make all of my cards and use print shop deluxe to do it. Don't know what it sells for now but it was under $50 when I bought it. You can format up a bus card very quickly with or without graphics. There are plenty of graphics around the net or just take a picture and use your 0wn.

Office depot sells perforated business card stock cheap.

I ordered from Laurie Jones. Her email address is below: It was very easy to do and the price was right.$25 for 120 cards. She helps you set it up just like you want it. She sends you a sample of what the card will look like. I am very pleased.

Yeah... Especially in a world where anyone with a computer and printer can make their own cards for almost nothing at all! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

I have printed several different cards for several different types of use, but none so far for hunting.

BUTT........if you aren't going to need a BUNCH of cards, do yourself a favor and print them on HIGH GLOSS PHOTO PAPER. It has to be manually cut, but the look is awesome. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Hello from Varmint Al. I haven't checked in a long while. I have been busy working on my web page and doing calculations.

Let me say that the Business Card really works. Here is my card:

Also, you are welcome to use this coyote picture if you like. It has a transparent background. Right click on the picture and save it or go here: http://www.varmintal.com/coycard.gif and save it.
