butler creek scope covers? Good or Crap ?

All my new ones are JUNK I have broken three at the hinge.
Some of my old ones are still working but I have switched to Leupold Alumnia Caps they can take the abuse of being hit or snaged on cold days.
I do believe butler creek must have changed the material that they are made of and the hinge area is way to thin and brittle.
Leupold caps are more money but I dont have to buy three sets so I guess I am even.

Exactly the same experience here. The new ones I bought didn't stay closed and broke across the hinge after 3 days in cold weather (25F that is, not -25F!).
I am going to stay away from these from now on. Waste of money.
