Butler creek scope covers?

I've got a Bushnell AR 3-9x40 scope that I'm trying to get some scope covers for, I've read reviews where people have bought three or four sets trying to get the right size from butler creek. Does anybody have any idea what size I should get?

if you have the luxury of one of the big box retailers, or your LGS stocks your peticular scope, you can always ask to do a test fit on a shelf model before you buy them.

Just take the gun and or scope to the store to fit it or find a scope like it in the store. DO NOT trust the chart.

The charts are often wrong. It's a 50/50 crapshoot. Take your gun/scope inside to test fit and save yourself a headache. Don't go too small or else the caps won't stay shut.

I wouldn't use them at all. Never did much for me except get in the way. I guess they have an application, like if you ride an ATV around or something.

I use the fronts because I carry my rifle barrel up which happens to be the direction snow and rain come from. Agree that the backs are an annoyance though....unless you carry your rifle barrel down like a few guys I know.

To the OP.....Mic the scope and carry that same micrometer to the store to compare the cover before you buy....simple and you don't have to bring your rifle....which Wall Mart might frown on....LOL

They seem to be an added distraction sometimes, but I remember slipping once and scooping mud in my scope lens, then missing a shot.
I also put them on my binos.
