Butler Creek Scope covers

Looking for someone who has the Mueller 4-16x50 with Butler Creek flip open scope covers & what sizes you used. Apparently the information on the Mueller website is inaccurate. Thanks

MidwayUSA.com has a chart so that you can just measure your lens piece and choose. That's where I ordered mine but not for the same scope as you have.

Adam357, Hello, I have the exact same scope. Mueller Sport Dot 4 x 16 x 50. I used Butler Creek 20 Eye (1.775'' & 45.1mm) and Butler Creek 44 OBJ. If I remember right scope measured in between to different sizes. I ordered both but ones listed fit best. Hope this helps. Bob

Yes sir that certainly helps! I ordered a 20 eye and it does not fit. That is why I wanted to hear from someone that has the same scope and what size covers they used. How do you like your scope so far? Thanks,Adam

Adam, I'm guessing the 20 was a little loose. I ordered a 19 and a 20. The 19 would go on but it was real tight. I wasn't sure if I would have problems in the field trying to open it. Went with the 20, fits snug and I have not had any problems.
As for the Mueller scope,I have it mounted on a AR. I love the sport dot feature. Have not shot much over 100 yards with it. I'm very pleased with it for the price. Not as clear and crisp as a few of my Luepold or Nikon scopes but at a third of the price you can't go wrong. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif How do you like yours?

Ya the 20 is EXTREMELY loose. There is no way I can use it. I am wondering if it is a quality control issue with Butler Creek? I just received the scope last Friday at it is going on a brand new Winchester M70 "Coyote Lite" 22-250 with a Ken Farrell base and Burris Signature ZEE rings. An out of the box test seems like it may be shy on eye relief but I am sure I will get used to it. No problems with fit with the 44 objective?

Wrap a piece of black electrical tape around the end of your scope for a wrap or two until the cap fits snug enough.

Don't use the black tape get some 3m colored electrical tape , grey, red or what ever you find, it will not leave the black sticky adhesive when the tape comes off. It may cost a little more than some of the cheap tapes out there but works well without the mess. I use it when I leave screws in scope mounts etc when they are apart and it always works well.
