caldwell rest help?

ROOSTER

New member
I've never shot off of a factory rest. It's mostly been homemade ones. Do you guy's think a factory rest will improve groups? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif Is it worth the money or should I just keep the homemade one?

Thanks for the help. I'm going to order one.Sportsmans guide has the BR model for $159 and since I'm a Buyers club member the price goes down to $142. They also have a $10 off coupon for purchases over $99.So I should have about $132 in it before shipping.Does that seem like a fair price?

I Have The Caldwell Steady Rest..EXCELLENT !!And they cost about 40.00$ Not 132.00/ before Shipping..Can be Used in the Field, easily, just have A shooting table large Enough so you can Rotate yourself, and Rest, for P- Dogger's at Different. ANGLES .2 cent' Worth/ Coyote Wolf/ Co..

I use the "Rock" and would recommend getting it unless you are going to do some true benchrest shooting.

Good Shooting,

Bob

I bought the rock rest about 4 years ago and I love it.
Helps you see everything a rifle is truly capable of a great benchrest. I bought mine from Midway in their current catalog I see they have it listed at $74.99 you might give them a call sometimes they have sales you can reach them at1-800-243-3220 or www.midwayusa.com /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

The "BR" model is an entirely different critter from the "Rock". Dollar for dollar the "Rock" is a great rest, but the "BR" model has almost ALL the goodies anyone could want on a rest.
