The bill is sitting on Governor Browns desk as I type this, this bill will make lead bullets illegal for hunting. Assembly Bill 711, has been created by the anti's I sent a letter to Governor Brown, If you would do the same it would be great maybe just maybe we can get this one thrown out.

Be careful, Arizona is pushing for the same crap. They brought the Condors over to the Grand Canyon and now are trying to convince everyone how awful lead bullets are. A couple of years ago, I drew an area 9 bull elk tag in Arizona and there was a letter with my tag that said I should use non lead ammo or pack my gut pile out (have you ever tried to load a bull elk gut pile in your rig). The funny thing is, California banned lead bullets several years ago in all of the condor range but the condors are still coming up with lead in them, It's junk science at it's best.

The above statement statement makes me sick.

All copper bullets are lousy bullets for shooting squirrels, rabbits and coyotes and they cost twice as much as lead bullets.

The Lead Free 22 Long Rifle ammo is very exspensive and it is not very accurate.

Lead Free bullets are much longer than lead bullets so most of the rifles in .224 cal that are 1-12" twist or 1-14" are made almost worthless when you are limited to 35 gr and 40 gr Lead Free bullets.

The impact on using Lead Free Copper bullets in the larger calibers for big game is not real bad. But these bullets do cost twice as much and they DO NOT group as good as the lead bullets.

This Lead Ban also covers shotgun shells for bird hunting so steel shot will have to be used.

The Hipocrat/Libocrat retards are so emotional about every issue. The bottom line is that if the California Condor cannot survive on its own, it needs to go extinct. The Turkey Vulture and other raptors don't seem to have a problem, but the condor does. First it was DDT, now it is lead. They need to get the message, mother nature wants the condor gone.

Bending to the will of the Hipocrats only fuels their fire. It is high time to take a firm stand and fight back. Gun control, hunting rights, beer, porn, cars, sugary drinks, super sizing they will stop at nothing in order to tell the rest of us how to live our lives.

You guys in California need to take back your game and fish commission, get some true hunters in there, vote out the Libocrat politicians and take back your rights. You have my empathy my friends.

i hate to point this out. But isn't lead a natural element?

It's not like we make it out of thin air. It's been here on the planet and despite their best efforts, liberals will have to understand that it's not going away.

Maybe... Just maybe.. The condor is eating something that is getting lead from other sources that are not bullets.

maybe mice or something.. Who knows.

There is no hunting in and around the Grand Canyon.. So if the Condors have it in their system.. Then how did they get it? I have seen that picture.. And don't buy the X-ray.. I want to see more than one, it's really not that much of a stretch to think they would doctor something, or find one, that makes their point, and then say they are all like that.

i agree its BS, but ive been to kaibab and seen condors on gut piles so i dont doubt they get it that way. but really its all about chipping away at our gun rights.

Bob is right, others do not understand the delimma we face here on this issue. Two or three times the cost to reload and/or shoot with lousy accuracy and limited bullet choices to boot. Lots of ill will toward Barnes as well, they jumped right in during all the wrangling on the lead issue and it seems they were somewhat persuasive in California's decision to partially ban it in the first go around. They were thinking they had a market cornered, at least for awhile...and they did.

People can hate on Californian's all they want, but you better be aware that liberal politics has no boundries, and it can very easily come to a state near you.

Most of CA problems are you all, ( me included when I lived there) voted those idiots into office and not knowing where they stood on hunting/2nd amendment rights and where they stood on the rights of people in general.
What every hunter/shooter in CA needs to do is stand together, not as a single but as an entire group & take back the state & kick the idiots out.

lets hunter shoots animal and then leaves it and a condor comes along and eats the lead bullet[bullsh--],lead is found in fish so i would thinks that other animals have it also.this is the biggest lie ever even more than the wolf.just another way to stop hunting.

We don't have the votes to remove them, they will have to be removed by some other way.

I did not vote for the idiots that are causing the problems in California or for the idiots that are in Washington D.C.

The big city votes dominate the elections in California.

The people in California with common sense are out numbered by the people that live off of the government system, the liberals that live in the big cities and the Democrats. This is not just a California problem, LOOK WHO ALL FIFTY STATES COMBINED VOTED FOR PRESIDENT!

Southern part of the state has all the voting say so unfortunately most of them don't hunt or fish so its not much of a issue for them to ban anything regarding hunting fishing or shooting sports. As long as you don't ban BMW's they could care a less.

Bob told you all what is going on. If Rasmuss and Pedro can stay home and get free money, then who will they vote for? The entire country is going this way. Not just Kommiefornia.

There is also:
SB 374(Steinberg) Firearms: Assault Weapon

It would classify any semiautomatic centerfire rifle that does not have a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept 10 rounds of ammunition or less as an assault weapon (i.e. – any semiautomatic centerfire rifle with a detachable magazine; or any semiautomatic centerfire rifle with a tubular or box magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds). Would require that all such firearms be registered with the state and make their future sale illegal.

It is not about condors, never was. It's about banning guns and ammo, one step at a time until they get it all banned.

The figured out it's easier to take away the ammo than it is to take away the guns. Lead bans, micro stamping, restricted ammo sales, $0.05 ammo tax per round, mail order ammo ban, ammo purchaseswith background checks and thru FFLs only, magazine restrictions, etc, etc.

Death by a thousand cuts.

Amen DiRTY DOG, you hit the nail on the head, Don't fold into these liberal so called scientist that say lead is so evil. These folks have an agenda. Just one stop closer to stopping all hunting and shooting. I have tried most all of the non lead bullets and they do not perform like lead and in fact are less humane then lead bullets. I once shot a pig in California eleven times with a 243 using the non lead bullets. Now I don't claim to be the best shot in the world but have killed many hogs with lead bullets and can tell you that the non lead bullets I have shot are junk and result in far more wounded and lost animals.
