Hi Col. welcome again.My recommendation for a calf bawl caller would be to have Tony Tebbe or one of the other custom call makers on this board make you one their works of art with a slightly thicker reed. You will find that you can also reproduce passable deep howls with one. If you are looking for something in the commercial calls, take a look at the Crit'R.Call Magnum. You can see them at critrcall@earthlink.net. I use a Haydel fit to a small horn for calf bawls.To skip a lot of experimentation I would talk to Tony about fixing me up.
