Calling apps

Anyone using apps on an iPhone to do the calling and use a Bluetooth speaker? I think I want to go this route rather than an expensive FoxPro I am locked into. Plus I can use it for music, if I want too.

I was never a predator hunter but there is just too darn many coyotes and I am tried of other things trying to eat my chickens. Tired of trapping and going on the offensive.

Animal Audio has a bunch of free sounds. Yes it works, especially when you forget your remote at the house and you’ve already made the drive for coyotes. The Outlaw+ has Bluetooth capabilities and it works out to about 50+ yards.

For most situations i am calling, the volume would not be there. You will need an expensive speaker to retain quality at high volume, so most likely one with an amp, a horn speaker, and large power supply for my calling (bringing them from 1/2-1mile away)

If you are going to go sit in your deer stand in a timber (or by your chickens) that they frequent and call quietly, yeah probably work if they are already there to begin with. But be aware they could be traveling up to 5 miles each day to get to your chickens… being there with a bluetooth speaker the 15 minutes they are within a couple hundred yards is relying on pure luck.

You would be better off finding a used (or new) cheaper foxpro in the $75-100 range depending on what deals you get.
