Calling in West Virginia

I don't see alot of coyotes usually 2-3 a year. This year I've seen several maybe 6 or so and finally killed my first one.

But man do I see the sign. See I'm out everyday because I'm a farmer and theres something needs done about everyday so I'm out and about alot, not hunting just out around the farm.

I can see well over 1 mile from many places and many different locations. Its more fields than woods here.
But feeding/checking ect. the cattle the place is littered with tracks. Almost every morning I go out to feed and theres snow on I see a new set of tracks. But rarely ever see the coyotes.
Ours here aren't overly vocal either. You rarely here them howl. When catfishing down at the river I hear them sometimes howling and yipping and usually around 1am-3am

But they are here!

Good to hear from you Bronco. Was wondering if you were still around. Same here see a lot of sign and I'm hearing them on occasion.

If we don't have more glitches at work I should be able to get in some serious hunting after Christmas. Snow is staying on the ground and the coyotes should be moving even more.

Coaldigger and RWS do those catfish come with slaw and hushpuppies?

Bronco, If you are near Naugatuck, drop me an email and I will give you directions to the #1 hottest spot I have ever called. I have never tried calling Coyotes but sure have killed a bunch of fox there. There are some of the best hunting in the state in Mingo,Logan and Boone Co.'s
