Calling Technic with Foxpro’s Foxmotion

Does anyone use the Foxmotion feature on their Foxpro callers? Do you find it makes a more effective stand, and initiates a coyote or other predator to respond quicker?

I think having the sound changing volumes and switching to coming out of different speakers has to sound more realistic than the sound coming out of just one speaker and staying at one volume. Before I bought Foxpro Callers with remote controls, I used cassette callers with one speaker and no remote controll. I did call in and kill lots of coyotes without being able to change the volume or sound.

When I first bought a Foxpro FX-5, I started using a SP-55 external speaker so I could point the sounds in two different directions. Ever since then I have always used two speakers to help spread the sound out in different directions.

I played with fox motion a time or two on my old Fusion caller. It does add another layer to how it sounds bouncing back and forth between the two speakers in the case of the Fusion caller. I’ll admit that I hadn’t used it enough to say it produced more coyotes or fox. I certainly don’t think it hurts anything. I just prefer to keep my sets as simple as possible. Less time playing with my remote and more time looking for incoming critters.

I didn't even know about having Fox Motion on my X-24 and X-Wave callers! LOL

Since I am using two speakers all the time I am going to give Fox Motion a try.

Thanks hunt0168 and tdtowers5 for the post and reply.

So am I to assume this feature does not work with the X24? It has two speakers but they are right in the middle together.
I recently upgraded to the X24, and I am just learning about it features. With the X24 speakers, it has that capability. I am curious on how it performs and how effective it is.

From the X24 users manual...

6-1 FOXMOTION
FOXMOTION is a unique feature that allows you to “move” the sound between the internal speaker and an external speaker at varying rates to portray an effect of the sound (animal) moving. There are 5 different rates or speeds at which you can have FOXMOTION operate. The lower the setting, the more gradual the transition from one speaker to the other will be. To activate FOXMOTION, turn on the X24 and X24 remote. Begin sound playback like normal. Access the X24 remote main menu24and select the FOX FEATURES item. Select FOXMOTION and change it to“ on.” Then select the Rate item directly beneath it to adjust the speed that FOXMOTION operates at.
