Hi got a ? dont know if it makes a diff to the dogs but what calls seem to be pulling them in , in UT.
I have had the best luck this year with the Dan T.
Weems wild Jack rabbit.
Seems I have pulled more dogs out of thick Ceader Trees
in to meadows for most of my kills

Just about everything works. we use the red dessert howler/mouth piece. The tally ho, a tweety, the fow pro on: Woodpecker, jack, rabbit, Pdog and even the pig distress worked once. What works fr doesn't always work for others. I think a person should use what they have the most confidence with.

Bozman,
Have you had much luck in the FishLake area? I hunt elk every year there and have always wanted to call while I'm down there. If you ever want to plan a weekend to go out calling, I'd be happy to make the trip. I just love the area around where you live. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
Anyway, to answer your question. I use the red dessert howler, tally ho, and the foxpro. I have noticed that I call in more dogs by howling and using the distress. We have a lot of coyotes here in Utah but a lot of hunters too. They probably have all the distress calls memorized... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I see both of you use the RD howler are you guys using the mouth p as a distress or just a howler, I got one but I SUCK with it my wife has a fit when I blow it in the house
so its hard to get practice

But Yes I only hunt the fishlake mostly Gooseberry and Sheep Vally once in a while I will head west and hunt the Pavont MT
But we should plan a trip I go every day I have off work most of my blinds are only 20 minutes away from my house

A jackrabbit in distress I recorded in Tooele county a few years ago is all I've been using (on my Foxpro). It's been working great.
