Camera for coyote hunting

So I am thinking about making a mount to mount a go pro camera on top of the upper rings (I have Burris rings with built in weaver/picatiny rail on top) of my scope to mount a GoPro camera on.

Anyone done this to video the shots and or coyotes coming in?

I tried tri pod and camera but didn't turn out to well hard to adjust then get back on rifle to shoot...

I have a Go-Pro and it is better suited to my dirt bike helmet. The TactaCam makes a much better camera for recording a hunt.
 
It's possible, we did a week ago. I'll get some pics of it for you.

I used a extra ring mounted it upside down with the clamp part sticking up, so we could clamp it to the go pro mount.

It won't obstruct your view either....
 
I like the looks of the tactacam. I watched the video on the web site for the camera.

As far as blocking view maybe I didn't explain what I would do correctly. I want to mount it on top of the scope. My scope rings have a picatinny rail on the top of the top ring. I am a millwright and have access and know how to run all the CNC lathes,mills and edm's we have on site. So making the mount to work with the camera and scope ring will not be a problem. I just think the perspective of over the scope would be awesome in a video.

Thanks for the info on the camera I am going to do some more research but most likely will be headed that direction

I am wanting to get a camera for filming. I was thing of a Sony camera just for the zoom capability.
The go pro we used is my daughter's boyfriends.he has the video downloaded I believe. I will try to get a copy....been busy at work.
 
Yeah, it is compared to when I was a kid. It seems like we don't get much snow anymore.....

Sure is pretty.....

What did you think of them cans?
