camo comparison

We took several pics with camo shirts in Mossy Oak Brush, Natural Gear Brown, and Digital Desert. I also converted each pic to Sepia for further comparison. To my eyes The MO Brush came out the best in nearly every pic. Of course it isn't the only camo but it is versatile in this area. http://usera.imagecave.com/tripod3/camo/

Good pics. Good comparison.
Mossy Oak Brush is a new camo for me this year. Even though there's no desert here in the piedmont of NC it seems to blend well with cut soy bean fields, cut corn fields, broom straw and weed fields. It's open pattern breaks up your outline at a distance and that's what I was looking for. I'm getting away from the dark camo that blobs out at a distance
I also bought tee shirts in Advantage Max-1,
Advantage Max-4 and ASAT to try. All of those are designed not to look like anything but to break up the human outline.
So far they seem to work pretty well on sharp-eyed groundhogs. Testing is ongoing.
Have you tried taking pics of those camos at 100, 200, 300 yards yet to see how they compare?

Very interesting. The Mossy Oak brush does well it seems due to the vertical orientation of the camo next to the brush. The Marine camo does well against a more uniform background.

Do you think this is a fair statement?

I bought a FX3 last year in the new mossy oak brush. I swear, after a rownd of calling, I went to go get the e-caller, and couldn't find it. I ended up having to turn it on to locate it. My hunting partner and I were very impressed. I'll be buying some cloths in that camo come fall.

Thanks Guys, I wish I had more camo's to test as there are so many. So far though the MO Brush does very well in many settings. Movement still remains the number one problem but good camo can reduce being detected.

Mossy Oak Bottemland is the best camo pattern ever made for hunting in wooded areas. Animals seem to just look right through you. The top pic shows my jacket in bottemland hanging off my pack that is straped to a tree. The bottem pic is the same tree further away. I bought 2 jackets & 2 pairs of pants years ago before they stoped makeing that pattern. I still have 1 jacket and pants still new from the factory for when the old ones are worn to nothing.
