Camo Facemask for Predator Hunting

i gave up trying to use one.if its colder than 35 deg.f my glasses always seem to fog up.i have a beard so dont worry about it.i shot a yote two weeks ago coming straight at me at 25ft,he never new i was there.had no snow camo on either.i try hard to keep the sun to my back, and stay in some shade.the auther of one of my predator books suggested using an overly large facemask, that hangs down a bit, with no mouth hole.you use the mouth call under the facemask, this helps hide your hand movements as you are calling.

And of course my goutee blends in well also.

AllPredatorCalls.com sell a few different types. I use the HS mesh one that sells for 7 bucks I think. I use a pocketknife to cut a hole for a call but usually just hold the call under it. I don't care much for the veil types, when the wind is blowing a bit they start flapping around.

A pair of scissors works wonders.

I lost my best head net last Fall but found another good one at the Cabelas store up in Lacy, Wa. Since I wear glasses it isn't all that easy to get a net that fits properly and the elastic that keeps it in place is essential.

I got the leafy camo headnet for about $15 and took the scissors to it. I cut out a generous sized hole to both blow on the call and to breath through so my glasses don't get steamed up on those cold winter days. That nylon netting won't run when trimmed, either.

I hate those veil things.

Sheese! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif Come on folks. This isn't as difficult as y'all make it sound. Kill two birds with one stone. Grow your own face mask and wear your decoy on your face at the same time.
