Camo gun tape / wrap - will it come off slinging/unslinging weapon?

I'm thinking of getting some camo rifle tape (or wrap) to conceal a stainless rifle barrel. Down the road I may paint or coat it somehow but want to start off with some kind of tape/wrap.

The few I've seen were like a fabric almost like a thin ace bandage for wrapping a sprained ankle. I carry my rifle slung over my shoulder and sling/unsling it a lot on/off my shoulder in the field. It will also rub up against my backpack. Will the tape stay on given this type of activity? Are some tapes tackier than others (I figure camo duct tape wasn't cool given barrel heating up)

They have a like cloth camp tape.that works really good. And I have heard the acebandage type is pretty good as well. Both should hold up just fine.

I use the vet wrap style camo and carry my rifle in a scabbard so it is gettig slid in and out not just rubbingagainst and it stays on well. I do give it a couple of wraps of Electical tape at the muzzle, just in front of the forend and at the end under the scope it stayson all season. be sure you remove the tap as it will hold moisture if it getts wet.

I taped my scope and barrel and then took it off a scope and put it directly on another and it still was tacky enough to hold up.. on my scope mount i had to remove it and put it back like 4 times until i got the mount right and its still holding. And thats the stuff from walmart.. i was worried it was going to leave sticky stuff all over but it didnt..
