Hey Guys,

What's your take on Mossy Oak New Break-up, Advantage Timber, or Seclusion 3-D camo patterns for hills, hollows, & thickets of Fall & Winter for Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee regions. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Wife looking at (I peeked) new Cabelas Ultimate gore/scentlok for Christmas! How lucky can a man get! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

What pattern should I tell her man! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

I live up here in North Central WV and think Mossy Oak Break Up is the best blending in my area.

Almost no pines of any kind and our trees are mostly darker colored.

My eyes ain't coyotes eyes but guys in MOBU seem to melt into the brush and woods.

Thanks RWS2! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I was leaning toward MOBU too. Guess the "new" MOBU is even better maybe.

Jimmie of KY! Would appreciate your input very much too! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

I hate to say this but hope for your thoughts as soon as you can please, cause she's got to order pretty quick! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Tennessee,
Camo is camo to me so I really don't have anything to offer. I use my old camo and try to use the surrounding terrain to conceal me.

I really just got on here to welcome you to the board.

If I were buying the new stuff it would be the 3d. Just because it creates more natural shadow effects.

But camoflauge is more in how you use it than what pattern it is. The pattern doesn't mean squat if it is dark colored and your sitting up against a big white oak tree.

I have lost a fellow I know a time or two wearing a 3d pattern. Placed him against a big red oak each time and he disapeared. That man knows how to sit still!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif His camo is so dark he looks black walking through the woods. But the greys and brown in the pattern help him to vanish when in the righht place.

My own is Mossy oak. I am just as liable to lay down in the leaves as sit up against a tree.Jimmie

Natural gear. IMO the only place it looks outta place is in the really green areas. I took the nat gear, realtree hard woods, mossy oak hung them in the bushes. walked at various distances and the nat gear didnt turn solid. Just my .02

I am a diehard Predator camo man myself /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif I like the Fall Grey for all season use, but the Fall Brown is also good year around. Although, I am impressed with the new Mossy Oak patterns.

I think ASAT is one of the very best.
When I'm not wearing snow camo I've been wearing a cheap net camo w/ Sneaky Leaf on it. Works great! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
