Camo truck wraps?

Anyone have any info on how durable the vinyl is in these kits? How about ease of instalation? Looking at doing a jeep in full camo wrap.

I wrapped the fender flares and down the side of my truck probably 4 years ago. I ended up re-doing it because the vinal faded so make sure you get a product with a good uv protectant or have it clear coated as I did the second time around. Over all it is fairly durable.

Stampede truck products are the best. I have used alot of different wraps and the stampede has been the easiest to put on, takes the abuse I dish out and hasnt faded a lick...STAMPEDE....they rock

I got mine from camowraps.com it has held up nicely for the first year.. cant take it through a high pressure car wash because the vinyl will tear. (thats what the manufacturer said)but I like mine.

This is just for looks right ???
The truck still looks like a truck only camo.
I would think a Blind of some kind may help but camo is just another color for a truck...

You can see my truck that I painted with rattle cans in the background. This is what almost all of the area where I hunt looks like. It is just for looks, but makes hiding the truck way easier. My truck was dark blue and always stood out. I just parked my truck and walked out to where the rabbit was when I shot him and looked back to the truck. I didnt try to hide or conceal it in any way. You can see its a truck but I think a paint job or wrap helps in keeping things from spotting your rig as long as measures are taken to hide it.

Any more current info on these?

Has anyone used the cabela's ones?

How are all of the above holding up to wear and fading?

Any more tips/tricks for installtion?

I am going to be attempting this soon!

Old thread, but my truck goes in for the wrap in a few weeks. Do you have a pic of the truck? After much research, I've read that 3m products are best? This will be a first for me...unfortunately the company's that wrap here, don't give much of a warranty due to the extreme heat. Thanks

I found a different solution that was a lot cheaper and easy..

for those area's that you can't hide the truck, i use this.. by myself i can pull this over the truck in under a minute, and with someone it takes about 15 seconds.

There are clips in the bed up near the cab that hold it in the middle so that it stays in place. Bungee at the bottom, and after several years looks just a good.
On the truck, (it covers the glass and mirrors and lights for night time too.

I found a surplus website that sold the fabric for a buck a yard and then i have a friend that sew's and sewed it up for me. I had her add a channel at the bottom for the bungee cord (1/4") and then added a zipper for the bed, so if the state ever lets you hunt out of the back at night, it's ready to go. Then i can sit in the back and call right from the bed. (wishful thinking)

Very nice looking rig.....jmo, I'm sure I'm not the only one, but!!!!...posting, calling and shooting from the back of your parked truck in the middle of nowhere land, where there is nothing for miles and miles but you and soon to be dead coyotes is no big deal. Still can't comprehend that law? But that's just me....lol
