Camo vs. non-camo shotgun

What are your thoughts on the importance of a camo vs. non-camo shotgun? I don't upland game hunt, so I'm asking from a predator hunting perspective only. I'm looking at purchasing my 1st and I'm wondering if it's worth the extra $ for camo. Thanks!
 
I think it's purely personal preference.

I thought the camo looked "more nicer enough" I was willing to pay the extra for it. But I wouldn't have lost a second worrying about it if it was plain black. Could always rattle can it if that did bother me.

If dollars are talking loud enough, I wouldn't sweat the camo one little bit. If you just like it and are willing to pay for it, that's great too.

What I have noticed on my factory dipped Benelli is if you are sitting in the sun it glares like a freaking mirror. Probably no different than a blued shotgun. But it looks cool other than that.
 
I rattle canned my matte black 12 gauge just so water would bead up better on it and give me better corrosion resistance.
 
My old Remington 11-87 came with the factory camo job on it and after a few years it was pretty shiny. I have done Krylon rattle can paint jobs on it 3 or 4 times over the years.

I sit in the sun if I have to to keep the coyotes from smelling me so I don't want a shiny shotgun.

In these 3 above pictures it is the same old Rem 11-87 with different paint jobs on it.

Camo is not necessary. You can always rattle can it later. I would buy whatever is a good sale or you can find a good deal on used.
 
I had a Super Black Eagle with black stock & fore end & had the receiver & barrel cerakoted flat foliage green. Looks awesome & complete weather proofed on the outside. I would do it again before a factory camo.

My predator rifle is camo and my shotgun is black, but that's simply because that's what was on the shelf at the gun shop. With that being said I had my 45/70 bear gun cerakoted a couple years ago simply for my pleasure and I love it

Buying a 935 soon to dedicate to coyotes and I think I'll be cerakoting that if I get a black one
