Camo wraps for guns

I haven't heard of it but it would be hard for me to imagine the non permanent not becoming loose and annoying on your rifle.

A pal uses the scope skins and they look like its been dipped he did a good job putting it on 2 scopes, but then again he is anal doing stuff like that...ahhaha
Heat gun on low removes the skins I take it from what he said.
The scopes skins are about $10 at sportsmans warehouse.

Can't speak to the vinyl wraps but the camo wraps from Mcnett are very nice, I've used them a lot. They are very similar to an ace bandage, don't stick to the gun only sticks to itself. Many different patterns to choose from.

I use the same thing and to me it feels better plus at the end of the season I take it off, clean it and the gun then use it again next year.

I also use the McNetts camo wrap and I really like it. Haven't had any issues with it coming loose at all.

I use vet wrap $3.00 a roll and lots of colors, including camo and snow camo. Any horse and tac store will sell it. Looks to be the same as Mcnetts except a better value.

Just a heads up. I have refinished several rifles and shotguns for customers who left wraps on too long, resulting in trapped moisture and rust.

some wraps can trap moisture for sure... but the camo horse leg vet wrap works great...had it on my CZ for two years... finally removed it without a trace of any kind of mark.... BUT... of course that is a CZ....LOL.

I really like the GunSkins.com Camo I put on my Ruger. It's pretty durable and if applied right stays in position unless you choose to remove it.

FWIW,

A decent spray can camo job and some netting like follows if you really want to blend in should take care of all your needs against critters.

I used the mossyoak graphics gun and scope kit on my 22-250 in the brush camo. I've had it on for about 3 years now and love it. Durable and looks great I've had several people think that its dipped. Take your time and use a blow dryer when doing it. Good luck

Mossy oak vinyl gun skin in winter brush. Had it on for a little over a year and its holding up fine. No tears or separations just a couple small scrapes in the vinyl where I fell down a hill!
