Can it be done? See the impact in scope with a .243?

I shoot an old M70 in .243 with 80 gr bullets. I don't have a problem at all seeing what I'm shooting at, even with the scope at 9x, which it usually is. My .243 is not a light weight rifle, but I don't find the weight a problem. Settles down in the sticks a little better.

Learning how to shoot with both eyes open also helps. Shot an antelope at over a 1000 yards with my braked 300 RUM and was able to see both shots. The first was about 15ft high and the second one I saw tilt him sideways hitting it behind the front shoulder. It was awsome! If you are shooting long distance you have time to recover a little to observe shot placement.

I don't mean to criticize, but I wouldn't be bragging about even attempting 1000 yard shots at large game animals. It gives ethical hunters a bad name.
